Every great adventure begins with curiosity.
As a little girl in Venezuela, I couldn’t afford adventures, so I borrowed them. Every time we visited one of my mum’s friends, I’d disappear into her son’s beautiful leather-bound Jules Verne books. Those stories showed me that there were bigger worlds, different cultures and endless possibilities waiting beyond the horizon. Long before I travelled, my imagination had already left home.
